Blaine Air Apparatus   without liquid    The apparatus is used for determining the fineness of cement in terms of specific surface expressed as total surface area in square centimeters per gram of cement. This is a variable flow type air permeameter.

Specifications : The apparatus consists one each of permeability cell 12.5mm I.D., Manometer 'U' type mounted on stand with a built in stop cock, Perforated disc, Plunger Rubber stopper, Rubber tube 30cm long. 

Bulk density test apparatus as per I.S. 2386 Part IV. Determines bulk density or unit weight of aggregates.

Specifications: Calibrated cylindrical measures of sheet iron with handles. Consists of 3 measures one each 3 litres capacity, 15 litres capacity and 30 litres capacity. Complete with one tamping rod, round, 16mm dia and 600mm long, one end rounded.

ASTM C1611‑09, ASTM C1621/1621M‑06

The J‑ring test can be used to determine the passing ability of self‑consolidating concrete. It is applicable for laboratory use in testing different concrete mixtures for passing ability or can be used in the field as a quality control test. Passing ability refers to the ability of SCC, under its own weight (without vibration), to flow into and completely fill the spaces within an intricate framework, containing obstacles such as reinforcement bars

The equipment consists of rectangular section of 38 mm X 25 mm open steel ring drilled vertically with holes to accept threaded section of reinforcing bars. The bars and sections can be placed at different distance apart to simulate the congestion of reinforcement of the ring formed by vertical section.

VANE SHEAR APPRATUS (LABORATORY PURPOSE.)

Conforming to specifications and tolerance in accordance to I.S. 2720 Part XXX. Consists of a torque head adjustable in height by means of a lead screw rotated by a drive wheel to enable the vane to be lowered into the specimen. Rotation of the vane by means of a hand wheel, which operates a worm gear arrangement turning the upper end of a calibrated torsion spring. The vane shaft is attached through the hollow upper shaft to a resettable pointer. Which indicates the angle of torque on a dial graduated in degrees. The dial reading multiplies by spring factor gives the torque. Complete with A container and set of springs approx 2kg/cm,4 kg-cm,6 kg-cm and 8 kg-cm Complete in a polished wooden box.

Slump cone test apparatus conforming to specifications and tolerance in accordance to I.S. 1199 and latest I.S.7320. Consists of a slump cone frustum in shape 10cm dia at top, 20cm at bottom and 30cm hight fitted with foot piece and handle, one portable base plate having cleats to accommodate cone and tamping rod 16mm diam 60cm long graduated 0-30cm in one millimeter division.

U box test Apparatus U Box test is used to measure the filing ability of self compacting concrete. The apparatus consists of a vessel that is divided by a middle wall into two compartments; an opening with a sliding gate is fitted between the two sections. Reinforcing bar with nominal diameter of 134 mm are installed at the gate with centre to centre spacing of 50 mm. this create a clear spacing of 35 mm between bars. The left hand section is filled with about 20 liter of concrete then the gate is lifted and the concrete flows upwards into the other section. The height of the concrete in both sections is measured.

Vicat needle apparatus with dashpot; is used for determining the normal consistency and setting times of cement and 'A' Class limes.

The time it takes for a cement to stiffen to a standard value after addition of water is commonly known as the set time. The test involves mixing cement with water and then measuring its resistance to penetration of a standard probe at varying intervals of time, until a certain value is reached.

Consist of a metallic frame having base plate of 5” x 5”; bearing a movable rod with cap at one end. The needles and plunger can be fixed centrally in to the rod by clamping screw. The movable rod carries an indicator which moves over a graduated scale attached to the frame. The scale is 40mm in length with the smallest division of 1mm. The dashpot facilitates the gentle lowering of the movable rod with needle.
